MacNAB

The MacNab Clan, originating in Scotland during the 1100s, inspired what is now regarded as the ultimate sportsman’s challenge, celebrated worldwide with unique variations across Europe, the United States, and Africa. The MacNab Challenge dares you to hunt an animal (choose from Fallow Deer, Mountain Reedbuck, Vaal Reedbuck, or Chacma Baboon), shoot a bird (Grey-Winged Francolin), craft a fly using the animal’s hair and the bird’s feathers, and catch a fish—all within 24 hours. This extraordinary test of skill unfolds across the stunning, free-range Eastern Cape mountains, where you can opt to ascend on horseback or by foot. The adventure spans three nights and two days of hunting in the mountains before transitioning to the dense African bush. Ready for the ultimate challenge? Reserve your spot on our website!
